Capabilities

Built for people who have made things before.

The studio is organised around eight disciplines. In practice they are assembled per production — a documentary series and a treaty co-production need different rooms, and the same standard of rigour.

  • Material assessment, writer and director attachment, treatment and pitch construction, and finance-ready packaging.

    • Option and rights strategy
    • Writer, director and producer attachments
    • Treatments, bibles, look books and pitch decks
    • Budget and schedule modelling for financiers

Disciplines

What each function actually covers.

Written for producers, commissioners and financiers who need to know where responsibility sits.

Creative development

Assessment of underlying material, structural work with writers, and the discipline of deciding what a project is before money is raised against it.

Packaging and attachments

Director, cast and HOD attachments assembled against a realistic budget and schedule, with the finance plan built in parallel rather than afterwards.

Physical production

Prep, shoot and wrap run by senior producers and line producers, with stage and location strategy set by the demands of the script and the calendar.

Production management

Scheduling, cost reporting, insurance, compliance, contracting and cash-flow management, reported weekly to financiers in a consistent format.

Performance capture

Theatre, dance, opera and concert work designed as cinema: camera choreography built inside rehearsal, immersive sound capture, and a cut with a point of view.

Editorial and post-production

Offline and online editorial supervision, VFX and titles oversight, and a post schedule protected from the pressures of the shoot.

Finishing and delivery

Grade, sound mix, QC, versioning, subtitling, archive and platform-specific deliverables managed to specification.

Branded and institutional commissions

Cultural work for brands, museums, festivals and civic institutions, with editorial independence agreed at contract stage.

Co-production and strategic partnerships

Treaty and non-treaty structures, rights and recoupment planning, and long-horizon development relationships with rights-holders.

Development ends when a financier can act on the document, not when everyone in the room likes it.

How We Engage

Four ways in.

  1. 01

    Commissions

A broadcaster, platform, brand or institution commissions the studio to originate and deliver a defined piece of work. We take creative and production responsibility end to end.

  2. 02

    Co-Productions

Shared creative and financial responsibility with production partners across territories, structured around rights, recoupment and delivery obligations agreed at the outset.

  3. 03

    Service Production

Incoming productions retain the studio for physical production, crew, logistics and financial administration while retaining their own creative leadership.

  4. 04

    Development Partnerships

Longer-horizon relationships with writers, directors, theatre companies and rights-holders to develop material toward a financeable package.

Process

Develop. Package. Produce. Deliver.

  1. 01

    Develop

We interrogate the material before we commit to it — what it is, who it is for, and why now. Development ends with a document a financier can act on.

  2. 02

    Package

Attachments, budget, schedule and finance structure are assembled together, so the creative ambition and the money arrive at the same answer.

  3. 03

    Produce

Senior producers run the floor. Cost reporting is weekly and candid, and creative decisions are protected by disciplined scheduling.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Editorial, finishing, sound and delivery are supervised to specification, with versioning, QC and archive handled as part of the work, not after it.
